    考察了4个含有季铵头基的Bola两亲分子ArN-n-NAr (n = 4, 6, 8, 10)与SDS(十二烷基硫酸钠)混和水溶液的溶液性质。ArN-n-NAr/SDS混合体系表现出在降低表面张力效率(C20)和能力(cmc)以及胶束生成能力(cmc)的明显增效。C20在混合水溶液中均比单纯组分低,在等电点(0.33)时出现最小值,分别为0.076 mmol/L(n=4),0.048 mmol/L(n=6),0.046 mmol/L(n=8)和0.026 mmol/L(n=10)。与单组分SDS相比,混合体系的cmc出现明显降低,其中ArN-10-NAr/SDS混合体系的cmc比SDS单组分降低了9倍多(从2.40 mmol/L降至0.26 mmol/L)。混合体系中ArN-n-NAr联接链的伸直长度分别为0.635 nm (n=4),0.889 nm (n=6),1.143 nm (n=8)和1.397 nm (n=10),通过与静电平衡距离(0.9 nm)比较得知气/液界面混合吸附层的外表层完全由SDS构成,ArN-n-NAr分子分布在亚表层,依据两头基间联接链长度的不同,ArN-n-NAr(n=4, 6, 8)采取横躺的方式,ArN-10-NAr采取直立的方式。

    Abstract:

    Bola amphiphiles (ArN-n-NAr, n = 4, 6, 8, 10) with quaternary ammonium headgroups have been synthesized. Results show considerable enhancement in the efficiency (C20) and the effectiveness (cmc) in surface tension reduction as well as the ability of micelle formation (cmc) in the mixed aqueous solutions. The minimum C20 value (0.076 mmol/L(n=4), 0.048 mmol/L(n=6), 0.046 mmol/L(n=8) and 0.026 mmol/L(n=10)) was obtained at 1=0.33 (1 represents the molar fraction of ArN-n-NAr) in the mixed aqueous solution. Compared with the pure SDS solution, the cmc of the mixed systems show significant decrease. For the ArN-10-NAr/SDS system, the cmc was decreased more than 9 times (from 2.40 mmol/L to 0.26 mmol/L). The length of ArN-n-NAr spacer in mixed solution was 0.635 nm (n=4), 0.889 nm (n=6), 1.143 nm (n=8) and 1.397 nm (n=10). The outer surface of the mixed adsorption layer at the air/water interface was totally composed by SDS while ArN-n-NAr was arranged at the sublayer neighboring the outside. The ArN-n-NAr molecules adopted lying (for n=4, 6, 8) or perpendicular (for n=10) pattern according to the spacer length between the two headgroups of Bola amphiphiles.
