    Abstract:

Sucrose-6-benzoate was synthesized from sucrose and methyl benzoate using cesium carbonate as catalyst, The influence of the catalyst tape, catalyst dosage, reaction temperature, reaction time and material ratio on the yield of the product were investigated. The optimal reaction conditions were: using cesium carbonate as catalyst with a mass fraction of 2% based on the mass of sucrose, the molar ratio n(sucrose): n(methyl benzoate) =1:4, the reaction temperature 45℃, the vacuum degree 0.05MPa, and the reaction time 5 hours. Under the optimal reaction conditions, the yield was 81.0%.
