Isatin Schiff bases were introduced into diethylenetriamine pentaacetic(DTPA) by acylation reaction，and their paramagnetic GdIII, MnII and FeIII coordination complexes were reported.The structures of the new compounds were established by IR, 1H NMR, ICP-AES and elemental analysis in certain cases.The in vitro studies proved that the r1 of the GdIII,MnII complexes was higher than the clinical magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent Gd-DTPA.
