    Abstract:

A lignin model compound composed of α-O-4 and β-5 linkages was synthesized by the radical polymerization with isoeugenol as the raw material and horseradish peroxidase (HRP)/H2O2 as the catalyst. The process variables of the synthesis were investig- ated and the structure of the product was characterized by IR, GC-MS, EA and NMR. It is found that a more than 90% of yield was achieved under the optimal reaction conditions of 1:1 molar ratio of isoeugenol to H2O2, 1.5ml of 10g/L HRP, 3:4 of volume ratio of acetone to phosphate buffer solution, 50℃ of the reaction temperature and 2h reaction time.
