    Abstract:

Biomorphic aluminum oxide was prepared by impregnation-calcination method using filter paper as a template in this paper. The as-prepared biomorphic aluminum oxide was modified by vinyl triethoxy silane (A151) and modified sample became hydrophobic. The modified sample was characterized by hydrophobicity analysis. The oil-absorption resins can be synthesized with butyl methacrylate (BMA), butyl acrylate (BA) and styrene (St) as monomers by suspension polymerrization. According to the results of orthogonal experimental, the optimum technology conditions of composite resin were as follows: pore making agent was 5% (wt), cross linker was 3% (wt), initiator was 1% (wt) and hydrophobic biomorphic aluminum oxide was 4% (wt), respectively. The adsorption capacity and reusability of composite resin were improved obviously. The samples were characterized by hydrophobicity analysis, Fourier transformed infrared (IR), transmission electron microscope (TEM), canning electron microscope (SEM), and thermogravimetric differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA).
