    Abstract:

A series of quinoline derivatives were firstly synthesized in deep eutectic solvent (DES, choline chloride/oxalic acid) by the Friedländer condensation reaction between 2-aminoaryl ketone and α-methylene ketone, and moderate to good yields of 62-94% were obtained after reaction for 1 h in 80 oC oil bath. The DES could be recycled 3 times without obvious loss of its activity.
