Biodiesel, as one of the most significant green renewable resources, has been used as a promising alternative to fossil fuels. This review focuses on summarizing the recent progress in the design and development of nanocatalysts for catalytic biodiesel production, with emphasis on the catalyst properties, activity, and reusability. In addition, the current problems and future perspectives on the design of nanocatalysts have also been briefly discussed.
